The final section of the Norwich Northern Distributor Road – now known as the A1270 Broadland Northway – which will provide a fast dual carriageway link from the A47 adjacent to Broadland Business Park to Norwich Airport and destinations to the north of the county opens next Monday evening, 16th April when the last 3.3 miles from the A1151 Wroxham Road to the A47 Postwick Junction and Broadland Business Park joins the road network.

Joanna Thornton, estate manager at Broadland Business Park, said: “We are really looking forward to seeing Broadland Northway fully open to traffic. With direct access from the Park straight to the new road, it will provide all the businesses here on Broadland with excellent access to Norwich Airport and beyond and even better connectivity with the local and regional road network. It further underlines the fact that Broadland Business Park is the pre-eminent business location in the area.”

Speaking to the Eastern Daily Press, Broadland MP Keith Simpson said the goal now was to get the dual carriageway joined up with the A47 to the west of the city – the so-called western link.
