WiBE networking event at Waterside Café
WiBE evening event – Revealing Retail 11/02/2016
On the evening of Thursday 11th February 2016, members of WiBE (Women in the Built Environment) met at the Waterside Café, Broadland Business Park, courtesy of Lothbury, to hear Adrian Fennell, Retail and Leisure Partner of Roche Chartered Surveyors, reveal some of the mysteries of retailing from a property perspective.
Such issues as how to value a shop (it’s not as simple as you think), the effect of the changing economy on rent and rates payable, factors affecting the retail scene in Great Yarmouth, Norwich and Southwold, what makes a good High Street and online shopping versus shopping as a leisure activity, were discussed and a lively question and answer session followed the Retail Quiz. Another successful evening organised by WiBE who gives the opportunity for women to network and do business with other like-minded women in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
If you or a colleague would be interested in other WiBE events please get in touch. WiBE are an organisation whose aim is to promote women in the world of property in an informal but meaningful way. The next event will be in March 2016.
